Week 36 and counting!
It's hard to believe that we are on our final month! Bryan is convinced that the baby could come at anytime, and has already installed the car seat. He's now is reminding me daily that I need to make sure my hospital bag is packed and ready to go. I'm keeping my fingers that Baby Gore decides to hang in there a few more weeks and let Mommy have so down time without having to go to work! We learned that Baby Gore is about 5 pounds about the size of a crenshaw melon. He is also still head down, and has found joy is kicking Mommy's ribs several times during the day. If all goes well our next posting will be right before we head to the hospital! Enjoy the new belly shots, and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Seattle Baby Shower
On November 27th, my good friend Laura hosted a couples baby shower for us. It was so wonderful catching up with old friends and hearing stories about what awaits us! We were very spoiled by the generous gifts people purchased for us. THANK YOU! Here are a few of the highlights from this very fun afternoon.

Bryan's Defense 11-13-07
November 13, 2007 was a very important day in the life of Bryan, or should I say Dr. Bryan Gore! At 3:00pm he presented to his committee members and an auditorium full of graduate students his research from the past 6 years. Under this much pressure, many people would crack, but not our Bryan! He was able to present his findings in a seamless speech that generated a huge applause from the audience when he was finished. I was left feeling very proud, knowing that my husband had just completed a major milestone in his life.
Here are a few snapshots from this very important day. :)

Week 32, nine weeks and counting!
Here's the bump at week 32! Not a ton of changes, except that my back is starting to ache, and I can't seem to find a comfortable position sleep in!
On November 3rd two of my good friends held a baby shower for us. They did such an amazing job. I was very impressed! Baby Gore received so many wonderful gifts. I can't wait to show them to him. Thanks girls for making me feel so special!

Belly Bump Week 28!
As the weeks grow shorter, the belly just keeps getting bigger! Baby Gore and I will now start seeing the doctor every two weeks, to monitor his growth and make sure I'm doing alright. We just learned that his head is pointing downwards, which would explain why his kicking is starting to hurt! I didn't realize your gallbladder was so sensitive! Right now Baby Gore is in the 50% range for his size, which is about 3 1/2 pounds. The man who performed the Ultra Sound said that we could possibly see Baby Gore 4 days early!
Enjoy these last few pictures of Baby Gore, it's the last we're going to see of him until his BIG arrival!
Can you see Baby Gore's eyes, nose, and lips?
Baby Gore is showing off all his fingers! He can't wait to meet you!

Could this be our new due date?

We're Half Way There!
Today we had our week 20 doctors appointment for Baby Gore. I'm happy to report that all is going well, and Baby BG is in the 58% for his growth rate. I must say that we have a very active little one. The doctor who performed the ultra sound had a hard time getting good images of Baby Gore's feet, head, and lips! I hope this isn't an indication of what to come later! It was pretty cool to see Baby Gore kicking me on screen and feeling it at the same time. Bryan's a bit jealous that he can't feel the baby kicking yet. Since he's a scientist maybe he find a way for us to switch places! Here are a few more pictures, we won't have another chance to see the little one until week 28 or possibly later. Enjoy!
Isn't it amazing that you can see his eye and nose!
Baby BG is looking right at you!
